Round Spring is a good campground, but as always with a campground near a highway, there is highway noise. The flood of November 3, 2024 caused damage only down at the lower sites and the river access in the campground. However, at the spring parking lot the flooding had covered the pavilion, the restroom, and left a think layer of mud in the parking lot. Fortunately, in the campground the restroom/shower house is high enough that it did not experience flood damages. The showers and restroom are generally well maintained and nice to use.

The showers and the restrooms were clean, with plenty of hot water. The campsite I was at was fine for my small trailer, but there was not much good space for setting up a tent.

We really enjoyed our time at the Round Spring campground.
The whole area is quite beautiful even in December.
The river, spring and hills and valleys exceeded our expectations. They were all highlights.
The campground as a whole was well laid out and the facilities were clean and functional.
It was basically empty and quiet the whole time we were there. Not unexpected for December.
It was so nice to have an open campground with hot showers at that time of year.
Keep up the good work.

We were the only campers in the campground. Enjoyed the company of bald eagles and deer. Restrooms well kept. We did not encounter any park staff. Value was excellent, $10 for an electric site.

Plenty of hiking. Limited RV sites, only 6. Was quiet and peaceful although it was early February.

Very nice and great area. The restrooms were very clean. The spring was just a short walk and river was great.

Everything was great, the wonderful hard working park service employees were awesome! They stopped by twice to warn us about some bad weather moving in. Ozark National Scenic Riverways is a beautiful public treasure.

This is the second time we've stayed at this site. It is nice but the site was listed as having electric and water. The water had not yet been turned on for the season. The people next to us informed us that the water wasn't going to be turned on for another week or so. While I don't expect them to lower the price due to a lack of water at the site, that information should be on the website as I could have filled my tank at my previous campground, instead of having to lug water from 100 yards away. The fan in the shower rooms were not operational making the rooms very uncomfortable.

Round Spring CG is one of my favorites on the Current. It's generally very quiet and uncrowded. However, many of the sites are not level, either for tent or car camping, so choose wisely. As with any campground in summer, you'll get a lot of mosquitoes and gnats with shade. Bathrooms are generally very tidy. I don't mind using Recreation. gov for reservations, but the system is not user-friendly. Round Spring, like most places in this region, has no cellular access. When I did find internet access, I was attempting to modify an existing reservation. This proved impossible, because it showed all sites booked unless I was trying to make a "new reservation," then the space I was interested in was accessible. It makes no sense, nor does the 20 minute wait time to talk to customer service. Point being, make sure your reservations are exactly as you want them and you'll enjoy your camping experience here.
