What Guests Are Saying
Round Spring campground receives praise for its friendly and accommodating host, clean facilities, and great river access. Many guests enjoyed the well-maintained restrooms and showers, as well as the evening ranger programs. However, some noted noise from neighboring campsites and construction disruptions, which affected their experience. Overall, the campground is recommended for its beautiful location and amenities, despite minor issues.

Been reserving and camping at this same site on this same weekend (wkend before Father's Day Wkend) for over 30 years now. It used to be first-come-first-server, so when they started doing reservations, it made it soooo much better. One of the most beautiful places on earth, National Scenic Riverways in Central Missouri .... and the campground is fantastic. Non-electric hookup in this large group site, be we know that already.

The campground was well taken care of, and the bathrooms were clean. We stayed at campsites 40 and 42, which are both down a small hill. I would not recommend those sites unless you don’t mind going up/down a hill every time you need something from your car or have to use the restroom. The campground was quiet in the evenings/early morning, and the host was friendly/helpful. We enjoyed the Ranger presentation on Saturday evening (the kids loved it). If you are interested in floating, we used Carr’s Canoe Rental and had a great experience - they picked us up at our site and we floated from Pulltite to Round Springs (the campground), and walked back to our campsite at the end of our float. The driver told us some cool spots to check out along the river, and I am glad we did! We are looking forward to coming back!

The Campground was nice. We had an electric site which are kind of close to each other. Wild horses roamed the Campground one evening. Unfortunately the cave was closed and the ranger station had burned down along with the public telephone. With no cellphone service any emergency would be difficult to deal with.

Only drawback was the grounds keeper letting his 4 dogs (which included 2 beagles) run the campground unattended and leaving them loose overnight to bay all night at the night sounds.
Other than that we enjoyed the campground.

The ground is very hard so it is difficult to get tent stakes into the ground. The ground is also covered in small rocks which makes it painful to kneel down before entering the tent. The small rocks also make it uncomfortable inside the tent unless they are removed from the ground where the tent is pitched. I put a towel on the ground to kneel on before entering the tent and that solved that problem. The washroom and shower facilities were close enough to be convenient. The water coming from the faucets on the washbowls was timed. One faucet was timed too short and another was timed too long.
