I loved camping and kayaking at round springs! For never camping it was so much fun and had the best experience ever. All the staff is very kind and will answer any questions you have. you can definitely tell they enjoy what they do and they enjoy interacting with everybody there. Having no cell phone service and being off grid was so amazing. If I needed to check in with family and let them know how I was doing, all I had to do was walk or drive up to the camp store for Wi-Fi.

Came to kayak and canoe with friends. The few RV sites are very nice. Put-in for kayaks/canoes is great. You can drive right to the water. The walk to the Round Spring is nice...don't stop too early thinking you are looking at it - there is an upper and lower portion to it.

Campsite was on a downslope below a levy. My campsite flooded with about 3” of water flooding my tent. The stairs down to the site are wood which were like ice when wet. Damn near broke my wrist when I fell down them. I spent about three hours there before bailing out. These campsites were obviously cut out just to rake in extra money. Thanks for wasting it and my time.

I first want to say the park staff and camp host were the greatest. Courteous and helpful. I was though very disappointed with the website not pointing out that all the sites besides the electric sites were not camper friendly. The non electric site I had was marked on the website to have a certain amount of parking space. On every other camping excursion I've had that would safely park your truck and pull behind whatever. That space specifically in no way would work for any kind of pull behind camper. It was just a long parking spot beside the road to park cars/trucks to pop up a tent beside it on a very steep grade. Just state on the site tent camping only or that you are parking along side the main road and I would have at least called the park or researched further. How hard is that. The Missouri state park website has pictures of each individual site. That in itself would have cleared up allot. I did see a couple beside the road sites that had small campers but the setup was far from anything I would consider. Literally inches between you and vehicles trying to get thru the loop. Thankfully the park staff was able to put me in a electric site cancellation and save my weekend. If not for that I would have had to most likely go home or possibly park in the river parking lot and make due. The intersecting road with electric sites did work great for me and would recommend for someone looking to camper camp and enjoy the river.

The campsites were clean and spacious. The cave tour was amazing. The one complaint I have is the access to the river. Even though many campsites were adjacent to the river, there was no path for access and it was encouraged and necessary to use the public beaches, which were crowded as motorboats were also entering and exiting from these locations.
