Round Spring

Round Spring was peaceful and clean. Our campground host was kind and helpful. Had a very positive camping experience.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Probably the cleanest restrooms and showers of any campground I've been in. Camp sites could be flatter and a bit larger for the tents, but that's minor.

Great campground with the cave and spring within walking distance.

Great facility. Went to wee the eclipse April 8, it was fantastic. The CG was well kept and open, a week before the advertised opening date . There was a lot of people there all friendly. Showers were clean and warm, bathrooms nice. The only negative was we can home with ticks in both us and our dogs.

The campground was spotless! Bathrooms and showers newly painted. Staff we came across were friendly and helpful. Centrally located. Will stay again.

Staying at Round Spring Campground is always an excellent experience! The facilities are accessible and clean enough, even on the off-season, and access to Current River is unbeatable. Our campsite neighbors were friendly and helpful. Will be coming back this coming Spring!

Great campground. Bathrooms are always clean, showers have hot water, and campsites have enough room. Easy access to the Current River and to Carr's Canoe rental. The spring is gorgeous and worth the short hike. The only gamble is you never know who your neighbor will be, we've had good and bad.

We were in electric/water site E2. Sites E1 thru E6 have very little shade. The majority of the sites have no utilities, but most of these are shaded. Backing in was not too difficult for our 35-ft fifth wheel although maneuvering space was tight. Be aware that the campground is in a valley and there is no wi-fi or cell service.

The most important thing to know about Round Spring Campground is that is along a hilly, twisty, curvy road (very tight curves) so it takes a long time to get anywhere to the south from the campground. (We did not go north so I cannot comment on access from that direction.)

The campground was quiet during the week but disgustingly noisy Friday night.

The grounds are nice. Bathrooms are clean and the showers are great. But the sites are SUPER close together and we had some neighbors next to us that were super inconsiderate and loud. If you want to "get away," this is not the ground for you. The proximity to the river is good, but you absolutely cannot access it from your campsite. And the racoons are no joke. Lock up your food.
