Campsites we’re ok, was a lot of tall grass by campsite and when mowers came through campground they did not mow where we were. We made sure everything was picked up so they could mow and then nothing. Not to mention 2 days we were not able to leave because of resurfacing the road. Not a bad campground in all.

The campground would be very nice if they would cut down the weeds leading to the water. That makes the grounds very unattractive and unsafe. A few years ago they cut it down but nothing has been done resently.

They completely sprayed the entire camp ground right when we got there. We had our grandkids and dogs with us so the children could not even get on the playground. We ended up leaving a night early. It was so upsetting.

Our stay at Dam Site was very enjoyable, very clean restrooms & showers, very well maintained grounds, wonderful views. I would like to mention Park Ranger Michael East, who stopped by our site 33 to let us know the roads were going to be resealed that morning. He noticed our dog Buddy was limping and we explained he had a torn ACL that we were treating and improvement was slow. The most difficulty Buddy had was getting in the truck, with that he told us the story of his retired German Shepard now living at his fathers home, and that he had a ramp that was no longer needed, and could he give it to us for Buddy. We accepted. Mr. East finished his duties, ran home, got the ramp and brought it to us. We are overwhelmed with his kindness and generosity. Buddy can now get into the truck with no problem, anxious for his next adventure.
The world needs more people like Ranger Michael East. Yes we will be back to this Park. Thank You again.

This was our first experience with visiting Dam Site campground on Pomme De Terre lake. We were on the primitive side of the campground, even though we had our camper. My bother and Sister-in-law was in the site next to us. We liked the idea that we were close enough together, but yet far enough apart the we all had our privacy. We had a wonderful experience, the campsites that we were at was very secluded and quite.
