We went the first week of May, and the store near the primary campground was closed all weekend. No signs. No notice. The next closest store is about nine miles away, then after that, in Piedmont. Check as you come in so you'll know what to expect for last minute provisions.

This is a fishing lake so be aware that your neighbors in the campground may get up very early (like ours did at 4:30am) and warm up their truck for 15 minutes and then drive around the campground, only to return and idle again for awhile before finally leaving. Also, be sure to have shades on your windows because campers here like to light up their RVs like Christmas trees all night long.

Nice campground. Good-looking lake with clean water. Nice bathrooms and shower houses. We stayed on A loop. The town of Piedmont is quaint. Neat area.

We went to Piedmont Missouri Park to see the eclipse, and it was awesome, the sky was clear and it was a beautiful day! The bathroom near my side A14 was a pit toilet but it was a short walk to shower bathroom combination. It was clean and I certainly enjoyed using the shower.

I was at site 32 which because of the grade is probably only good for one maybe two tents. Also, there is a very bright street light on the playground which is directly in front of this site. So, if you like looking at the night sky you will have to walk down a few sites in order to see it. The showers and bathrooms were very clean. The showers are hot but very little pressure. I came towards the end of the season so the campground was very quiet. Would visit again.

It is a lovely, quiet, clean place to stay. We had a wonderful time for the four nights we were there. The only issue is terrible cell service and no OTA television stations available. We had to drive into Piedmont to call or use our phones.
