I always enjoy the River Road Park on the dam side. It's quiet, cozy, and not congested. My only complaint is I wish this RR campground side was restricted to camper traffic past the dam. Too many people speed through or drive by with loud vehicles or side-by-sides and there's not much room to keep small kids safer on the campsites being so close to the roadway.

Nice park. Well cared for. Lots to do. Piedmont close by with plenty to offer.

The only thing that kept this from being excellent was all sights need water hook ups. The gate host was excellent.
