Very peaceful and relaxing time. We had a wonderful view of the water at our site. Biked around the grounds and when on a short trail ride. No complaints here!!

We have been going here for about 32 years now. From days with 3 little boys in tents to travel trailers. This park has always been & will always be our favorite.
Friendly park attendants, clean campgrounds, bike riding, fishing or just walking around, the ideal camping experience ♥️

We love to camp at River Road! It is our favorite place to go. You can fish, bike/walk the park streets and the mostly paved 4 mi bike/walk trail. The park is great for the kids since the park is mostly flat. This is where my oldest son learned to ride his bike. The sand beach is a short drive. My family loves playing in the sand and building their sand castles. Warning: That sand gets HOT! We also enjoy going to Lon Sanders Canyon while we are there. We enjoy walking up the creek on the rocks. It is a game to see who can stay dry the entire time. Rocky Falls and a tour of the springs in the area are good day trips too. There are a few restaurants in town and near the lake area. Lots of updates are being made to the park, so that excites us a lot too!!!

This park doesn’t monitor anyone checking in and let’s people park boats and trucks in grass on all sites. Also I saw 3 groups saving sites for people instead of reserving and paying online!!!! No one is enforcing Corp rules at this campground!
