Easy check in, we were close to water source,restrooms with showers and access to walk to the lake. Nice large areas to park and flat areas to set up tents. There is 2 Dollar Generals within a few miles if you forget something, or Eagle stop for alcohol or bait. We rented a pontoon for the day straight across from the Nemo entrance. Everyone we encountered at the camping area or the Marina were extremely nice and helpful. The only thing that is a turn off, and not sure how it can be remedied is the amount of geese that swim right in the swimming area along with the guests. We were in tents at the electrical sites and had terrible downpours and high winds both nights of our stay, so that was a challenge but again nothing to do with management. Added to the adventure.

The park is good, the way the custodians take care of the park now is not so good. They only stay open one hour in the morning and one hour in the evening. Pretty inconvenient to check in. The bathrooms and showers need updating. If your in a tent, it's a 3. If your in your camper its a 4. Core needs to step up here.

The 30amp plug was not working. The 15 amp plug melted my adapter to my cord so I had to replace it. Took a while to even be able to notify somebody. Finally resolved but now I have to go online to try and get reimbursed for the cord. Made it a stressful holiday.

Great park with wonderful views. Some tight turns to make getting into sites, just take your time if in a bigger rig.

The park was very easy to navigate with mature trees and plenty of open space. Park was well kept and Park Attendant was very helpful and friendly. Was safe and quite even when large groups gathered at the pavillion.

I have always had a pleasant experience at NEMO. The only issue I noticed was the bathrooms were low or out of toilet paper and trash cans were overflowing after the holiday weekend. it was corrected by the next day. overall it's a great place to camp.

Bathrooms weren’t clean and leaks in both sides at the Nemo landing camp sites There was standing water right by the toilet when trying to use it. Hot water was not working in the showers on that side as well. Definitely liked the spots on the river side better. Better showers/bathrooms on that side. Better camping spots with plenty of shade and more secure during storms.

From Springfield, MO, take US 65 north past Louisburg, MO, to NN Highway.
Follow NN Highway south to Nemo, MO. Turn south at the 4-way stop and find the entrance to Nemo Landing on the left side of the highway.
Nemo Landing is accessible via US 65, which is approximately 15 miles to the west, and NN Highway, which leads directly to the campground.
Elevation: 276 feet
2.8 mi drive to downtown Pittsburg (about 4 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- During the off-season, there is a limited camping season that only has electricity available. $10 per night, Dates: March 15 - April 15, October 1 - November 30.
- All reservations must be made through the Recreation.gov website or app. Search for Recreation.gov on the Apple Store or Play Store to download the app for free. Reservations can also be made by calling the Recreation.gov reservation line at (877) 444-6777.
- There is no first-come-first-serve window. All reservations can be made from the current day up to six months in advance. Campers are still limited to camping 14 consecutive days at a campground.
- Reservation tags will no longer be posted. With current day reservations available, it is the camper’s responsibility to check if a campsite has been reserved.
- Cash and checks will no longer be accepted. Recreation.gov and their reservation line will take credit and debit cards.
- Additional fees will be charged for additional camping units.
- Lifejackets only work if you wear them!
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
