What Guests Are Saying
Big Spring Campground is a peaceful and well-maintained location, known for its beautiful spring and river, making it ideal for outdoor activities such as fishing, canoeing, and hiking. Visitors appreciate the clean facilities, helpful staff, and the serene atmosphere, especially during less crowded times. While some guests noted the lack of water and electric hook-ups at sites and occasional noise from other campers, many expressed a strong desire to return for the natural beauty and overall enjoyable experience.

Never been there before and didn’t know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised! Had a hard time finding the campground and finally found a local to help us. Better signage out on Hwy 103 at county road 60-102 would have been nice so we could have gone in that way instead of driving thru the whole part first. Coming the way we did, the campground sign was facing the wrong way so we missed it.
Other than that, we enjoyed it and the area is beautiful!

I spent 11 days at Big Spring Campground. The campsite was perfect with plenty of privacy, closeness to nature and to the bathrooms. I enjoyed the hiking trails and the other sights. I loved the Current River--crystal clear.

Elephant Rock and Johnson's Spring within driving distance. Showers too far away, have to drive. Showers were dirty and full of spiders

Enjoyed the setting and, the neighborhood Wild Turkey. All in all, it was a good trip.

The site we were on, number 224, needed to be swept. Very dusty, and the blacktop was hidden by dirt. very quiet and we enjoyed the camp mascot. A wild hen Turkey that was named Pumpkin. Park Ranger said she didn,t know she was a turkey.

Nice Campground and nice employees. Very helpful. I would have rated 5 star but bathrooms have too many spiders for me and showers are so far away, you have to drive there, but otherwise, good visit

The campsites were very large which we really enjoyed. The only thing missing was a campground host. We had neighbors a few campsites away which were very disrespectful of nature by cutting down trees to burn for wood. In this day and age we didn't want to confront them.

Tough approach in a large unit. If you're towing a car unhook in van buren. Sites upgraded to 50 amp but the 50 amp didn't work. Only one leg of the service ever showed up. Used the 30 amp instead which worked well.
