In the rolling, forested landscape of Big Spring, two of America's most beautiful spring-fed rivers combine to make up the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Campsites have very little room to park one vehicle let alone the two allowed per Campsite. Dump station rinse water was not functional.

The restrooms and showers were clean, although the restroom in loop 200 was without soap during our stay. The camping areas were nicely mowed, but the area around the lodge and cabins was quite overgrown, and it doesn't look as though any construction is going on. This saddens me, because I have such fond memories of this place from years back. I certainly hope the funding cuts that national parks/dept of interior have undergone do not prevent Big Spring from completing this project.

If you arrive and another party is occupying your reserved campsite, please call Arrowhead Dispatch at 1-844-460-3604 for a Law Enforcement officer to be dispersed to your location for removal of the unauthorized party.

There is no direct water hook up at the campsites. You may fill your tanks at the station near the front entrance.
