We've been coming to Family Campground for a few years, sometimes as a single family, sometimes as a large family group. While each year has had its downfalls, this year was the most irritating. To preface THE STAFF WAS AMAZING, they handled the issues I brought to them quickly. However, they shouldn't have been issues to begin with, this is where my complain begins. You'll notice they are actively doing remodeling throughout the cabins, yay!
We rented a cabin large enough for 12 people, I feel like it should have been properly stocked for 12 people. This cabin only had silverware for 4 people and bath towels for 6 people, we stayed for 4 days... We ended up using our beach towels. Lower bedroom unit, bed was wobbly, annoying. The bunk bed was broken, swaying side to side with the ends pulled out: immediately fixed, though how did cleaners not report it or hold it for repairs, truly was dangerous. Bathroom toilet seat broken, nearly slid completely off: immediately replaced, again should have been fixed prior to check in. A broken kitchen table chair shoved in the pantry: immediately fixed and returned. Sheets definitely came from a facility of sorts as some have names written in marker on them, Iykyk. Some had permanent staining. I learned they dont wash the waffle blankets or blue toppers after each stay... Feel like I should start bringing my own bedding if we choose to come back. I guess its under new managment since the name has changed, there are now several cleaning/check out rules like an airbnb, not listed anywhere online or in policy. Most of the task are things I typically try to do before leaving anywhere but it still irked me. I feel, the pricing does not reflect the quality of the cabins YET. The sole reason we return year after year is location/access, simply cant be beat. We get to bring our atvs and feel of freedom vs local hotels but we might be considering a new location next year's trip. I really, truly hope adjustments can be made.
The owner/manager not sure who made the decision did credit a discount for the bunk bed and toilet issues from the start.

First off would like to say the communication was wonderful and I did call a bunch of times and left a message or they called me right back and Melissa , Tiffany, and Danica was all so sweet!!!
So i did book a cabin this last weekend( 6/ 26- 6/28/2026 and had such a relaxing time and enjoyed the cabin so ended up staying another night , and going to the office Melissa looked for me and said we could stay again just let her know, so it was so easy to do as well.
And also, we had a momma dog visit us and we'll a couple of puppies on friday so they were so cute and lovable and of course had to feed them left overs and had to go to dollar general and buy dog food ( 3 different times) lol we LOVED them and also made our trip even better and cabin we stayed at was very clean, had everything to cook with there also. Bed sheets were cleaned and shower was great couch was also a pull out we didn't use it but there was one.
Just a perfect weekend!!!
Will miss the momma dog and puppies and hopes and prayers that everyone takes care of them cause there so sweet!!!
Loved everything stay current, cabins, river, pond, scenery, workers at Stay Current, cleanliness of lawn, cleanliness of outside of cabins , just overall, if I could give a 10+ stars I would!!!
Definitely will be back in a month to stay again and will come see momma dog and puppies and play with them lol cause it was so relaxing and fun for the two of us!!!
Thank you again Melissa, Tiffany, and Danica for everything!!!
And also we had about 15 people that was staying close by and came over to grill for dinner and everyone had a great time!
We had a wonderful time!!!

Our group has rented cabins many many years with Deer Run now Stay Current River. This is the first year we have floated with Stay Current River. The experience was wonderful due to Melissa, Tiffany, Carter, Deacon, Jordan, Sam, Dylan and Mike. We have already booked for 2027 and will float with them again. Nobody in our group had to be concerned about driving. Put in at Stay Current River, take out after the bridge and get driven back to your cabin. Gotta try it.
See you in 2027. Thanks. Oh, if you're hungry or thirsty you'll come across a Mexican food truck on the right serving great margaritas and food. That was a 1st for us and we loved it. Hope it's there next year. If you're still hungry or thirsty upon returning head down to The Gravel Bar restaurant on site. That's good too.

Float here almost every year. Always a great experience. We always tent camp. Campsites are decent size and pretty well kept. Current river is a beautiful river.
