Kershaw-Ryan Campground

Beautiful little Nevada gem, careful there are a few species of snakes, check the grass before you walk dogs.

We are traveling through the area on our way to great basin national Park. Decided to make a pitstop in this small town to take in some of the mining history. Setting for this campground is beautiful. And the scenic rainbow Drive just past the entrance is amazing. Be sure not to miss it. This campgrounds has electric hook ups and water hook ups. The dump station near the entrance. It also has primitive campsite. The bathhouse is great! Nice and tidy. Great that they also offer firewood. You would never know the lush, green area at the end of this canyon existed. Beautiful!

We stayed in ADA site 4. We are 32ft plus Jeep.

Great campground. About 20 sites. Optional utility fee for electricity and water. Should be in the shower hall of fame even though it costs a quarter. Sites are mainly big enough for even big rigs. Cell phone signal available only near the entrance.

Great state campground right outside Caliente Nevada. You can purchase internet and they also have showers that take quarters. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Definitely check out the rock art out on highway 317 and the hiking trails in the State Park. Elgin schoolhouse is about 20 miles down hwy 317 too.

It's up and coming. So far it's looking great.
We were there the last week in May 2019. The power and water was being routed to every camp space. There is a table, grill and shade with every space. The restrooms have running water. You will need to be a roll of quarters at the bank if you want to take a hot shower.
