purchase your entry time slot $2 and your entrance fee $20 ahead of time and stay in the RIGHT lane! this way it will speed up the process of getting in. Went in the morning around 8ish and already have a line to enter (waited about 10-15 min) but no line at all in the afternoon. stop at the visitor center first before then start your scenic drive and enjoy everything! it's beautiful!
