We picked Angel Lake as a "Covid-safe" way to travel along Interstate 80 on our way from Colorado to California. Wow, what a gorgeous place. The campground was dense - not very private - but people were pretty quiet and respectful of others. Will definitely return one day.

What a setting! This campground is kind of small and the sites are tight but the intervening vegetation make them feel private. This setting is absolutely incredible.

Really great small lake to paddle board or kayak in. Caught some fish, swam, went for a hike to another small lake. The kids rode their bikes through the campground. There are no trees so bring your own shade. Clean bathrooms, water spouts. Had tons of fun!
