Angel Lake is praised for its stunning views, beautiful and clear water, and private campsites surrounded by brush. The campground is well-maintained, with clean facilities and excellent hiking trails nearby. Angel Lake is a beautiful small lake. The camp spots are very private, with the brush surrounding each spot which makes it even more special. The lake is very clear and it’s real nice that no motorized boats are allowed. We did run into rain on our stay, but it all worked out for us. We plan on going next year.

This place is AMAZING for the views! You are seated right at the base of a towering box canyon. The drive up is not for the faint of heart and I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone with a rig longer than 50 ft. Not sure about class A’s as we have a bumper pull. Come loaded as there is no potable water available anywhere up there. Decent vault toilets. A shame that a lot of people when we were there liked to “share” their music with everyone in the campground. The host could have been more hands on with policing and more available for questions. They were frequently not around.

The night sky was incredible! The brush between campsites made them more private.

Loved camping near the lake, wish the parking lot was included but that's fine the campground it close. The campground host was amazing, very efficient and kind. He also did not just walk around and police everyone but kept things picked up. The spots are nice, and the hike trails nearby are awesome! Fav camping area now

What a beautiful drive up to an incredible mountain lake staged in front of an amazing rhythm of rock formations. Clean toilets and each campsite is quite private and secluded. Hear the howl of coyotes at night on the cliffs under the full moon. What a memorable experience.
