When we bought our TT a few years back, I would hear, CORPORATE BUYING UP ALL THE CAMPGROUNDS! I heard the buy it, and & Resort to the name and raise prices all the while doing nothing, no improvements!
I took with a grain of salt.
WELL WELL WELL THIS PLACE IS A GREAT EXAMPLE OF THIS.
I WOULDNT SHOWER THERE, I WOULDNT GO THE BATHROOM THERE.
We prearranged a late arrival, and when we got there, someone was parked (not camping just parked) in our site. Needless I went by it several times think that wouldnt be our site. I am sure other campers were very happy I was driving in circles with lights on because some moron parked in the site we reserved and paid for, and once the clown realized it, HE STARTED GIVING ME A HARD TIME SAYING I AM LATE AND HE SHOULDNT HAVE TO MOVE. THEN SATURDAY MORNING SMH, KIDS FROM HIS SITE KEPT RUNNING THRU OUR SITE, AFTER MY WIFE POLITELY ASKED THEM NOT TOO. SO MUCH FOR PARENTS, PARENTING THEIR CHILDREN!
PERSON in office was super nice and did say something to that group, and by the steers and overheard comments they weren't so happy. They ended up leaving.
Thats when it got kinda creepy. Saturday night middle of summer, and this place was empty. That was creep, but at the same time kinda of perfect, just very weird and creepy, an empty campground on weekend in the middle of the summer. NEVER HAVE SEEN THAT BEFORE! WE DIDNT EVEN SEE 1 STAFF PERSON UNTIL MONDAY MORNING WHEN THE 3 STOOGES WERE CUTTING DOWN TREES, BTW TAKING ZERO PRECAUTIONS, AS 1 TREE ALMOST TOOK A CABIN/CAMPER.
UNFORTUNATELY WE WONT BE BACK NOT FOR THAT PRICE OF A SO CALLED RESORT BUT FOR IT TO BE NOTHING EVEM RESEMBLING A RESORT, MORE LIKE A STATE PARK, WHICH COST IS MORE THAN HALF LESS EXPENSIVE.
At end of day not a place I recommend or will return too.

Campers beware: We were going to rent the camper on site 65 from the campground. To get there and be told that the AC went out and they put a portable AC in there for our 4th of July weekend. It was hotter in the camper than it was outside and it was high 80s/low 90s. It smelled of mold, multiple spots in the floor it felt like you could fall through at any second. 100% do NOT recommend renting that site with that camper. We also had family on site 82 and they kept losing power multiple times, their fridge stopped working and both of their ACs did as well. Although not every site had this issue theirs did. The only thing I can say positive was that the staff was happy to refund us and we didn鈥檛 stay and went back home.

Was not thrilled about the pool being green and unusable on 90+ degree days. Site was barely big enough for my 22' camper and my truck. I did not have a picnic table, and my water hook up was on the wrong side of my site and being blind in one eye made for a tripping hazard for me. I asked for a different site but they couldn't accommodate me unfortunately. So I don't think I will be back, but they are very nice people that run it just don't think they are ready for transient campers. They have a ton of seasonal people, so 馃し must be okay once they are ready, but this is the second Modern American campground I have been to and neither had a pool that was usable. So I am not sure how I feel about that with Modern America.

I have had an excellent start to my first season here. Every time I ask for firewood, gravel or propane fills, it is done immediately. Donna in the office, Barry (Owner) and Adam have always been pleasant and attentive. The season started out with a meet and greet pizza party, great way to introduce myself and start to get to know others. My family took part in the golf cart decoration contest and won, although there were so many great other great ones as well. Then the next day we were one of the host families of the camp crawl. We had so much fun meeting new people and starting the season off right. So many great events planned throughout the season making the campground fun for all ages.

Rates were great. The bathroom and showers were clean. The pool was great for the kids and the play area was nice too. But... our campsite was pretty small and for the 1st day we smelled sewage nonstop until we realized the drain on our site wasn't capped. We used a tent so didn't think to check it. There were so many people cruising around the camp in golf carts and 4 wheelers, I was worried my toddlers would step out of our site and get hit by one. The 10-8 quiet time is a laugh. This place is NOT quiet! The camper across from us the last night was full of drunk people cackling until after 12. The night before a family was bouncing a ball at 11 and I asked them to stop. People laugh and talk and drive around for hours after quiet time. We also went to sit on the really cute looking gazebo, but the furniture was all shredded and there was garbage all around it. Gross. We went because the reviews were so positive. But not accurate.
