Crows Nest Campground

We are new seasonals to this campground and have fallen in love! The staff is very friendly, respectful, attentive and helpful. Todd is absolutely AMAZING! He met us with a smile on his face, answered numerous questions, let us tour the campground and let us keep coming back to ask more questions or see another site, no matter how many times we asked! He always let us know how to be reached if we needed him! The seasonals that are here are very friendly and look out for one another. It really is a community feeling, like one big happy family, everyone looks out for each other , waves in passing or stops to have a little chat. There are plenty of things for the kids to do to stay busy! The rec hall is always open, which has pool and a newly redone arcade, miniature golf, large size outdoor chess/ checkers pirate ship and swings at the playground, basketball court, large pool as well as a kiddie pool, stocked pond for catch and release fishing and the nearby river with trails strewn throughout the property! They have 2 different dog parks for the fur babies! Their amenities are always stocked and clean. They have bathrooms with large kitchen sinks available, showers and washer and dryers right onsite in each bathroom. They also have themed weekends with activities planned for each, for kids and adults alike! Numerous bonfires for everyone throughout the season! Would highly recommend!!!!!

I come here every summer and always have such an amazing time. I always recommend anyone who loves camping, this place has a certain charm to it that just feels homey and safe. I usually stay in the safari tent they have thats down by the river but decided to go for a cabin this time and I will say I think the safari tent is now ruined for me in a way. My biggest complaint with the safari tent is that there is only a portapotty down there and its VERY out of date I definitely recommend they get a new one because I always ended up hiking up to the actual restrooms just to avoid how awful the porta potty is which is really inconvenient in my opinion. But other than that the actual safari tent is very nice and I didnt have any complaints. As for my stay in the cabin I say a 9/10, I chose the cabin next to the bathhouse and it made my whole experience here change honestly. The convenience of being right next to the showers and flushable toilets made my whole trip much better. It is in a very convenient place and the area has a bunch of wooded area to chill outside and put hammocks up. The inside of the cabin from the photos I saw online did have a fan in the window but unfortunately when I went there it was 93 out and there was no fan so thankfully I did bring a extra or it would of been really hot. Both the safari tent and cabin have thin camping mats not actual mattresses like some cabins do but that is not an issue for me if you are prepared right and bring a matress topper u can get good sleep. The campground itself is very family friendly and more quiet than others and they do hourly patrols around which gives a good sense of security. This is my favorite campsite in the area there honestly isnt another that beats it in the area, there is a nice pool and a river with a big rock u can get in aswell or even take a short 9 minute walk to Pollards mills if you want to. The campground store over the years has seemed to have less in it than when I first started going there too id love to be able to buy a shirt or sweatshirt from the store with the campground name or something on it.

First time visitor. My wife and I met friends and spent the long weekend.

PRO
- it was nice and quiet most of the time.
- Free showers.
- Most fellow campers were friendly.
- weekend activities seemed plentiful (corn hole tournament, ice cream social, Saturday night movies)
- there are a few really nice wooded spots.
- if your looking for a rustics experience this place fits.
- they have a usable pool and mini golf (we didn't use either)
- The amount of mosquitoes was pleasantly really low.

Neutral list and other things you should know:
- be prepared: when you drive in you nay wonder if you made a mistake - once you get through what looks like a permanent resident/ multi season tenants area it opens and quickly turns into a nice foresty landscape camp complete with Sugar River front spots. (Some of the other reviews said the sites were super close down there, but i didn't think they were terribly close. Although some extra distance would be nicer.)
- we didn't get a spot with sewer hook up, they have a dump spot here.
- electric sufficed.
- free wifi (we didn't use it)
- cell service on T-Mobile/Mint was terrible here. (Avg 1 bar of 4g)
- the check in front desk store is small and sparse.
- this wasn't our spot, but 77 the electric and water post is located

CON
- we went for a walkdown a trail, only to find it appeared closed with a no trespassing sign and physical barricade on the bridge.
- Not all the sites rated for camper are close to flat (our mini camper was a little hard to level and our stabilizers were maxed out)
- Bees at the play ground - We heard a kid got stung a couple times.

We have made this our yearly tradition every summer to visit crows nests.

Sites are spacious and affordable, staff goes above and beyond. There’s always activities and things to do.

Bathrooms are always relatively clean and grounds taken care of.

We LOVE this place ! And hope to continue this tradition for generations to come!!

Absolutely 100% do not book here! My family and I have been camping for over ten years and this is the first time we’ve had to cut a trip short.
I believe this was owned by someone else and that is when the photos and reviews are from
Whoever owns it now has turned it into what looks to be a residential trailer park with few campsites.
When you pull in, the chess board and mini golf is all overgrown and useless. You are met with what looks to be the trailer park where the folks there will make it apparent that it is their area and you don’t belong there by yelling at you as you pass.
The whole campground smelled so badly of raw sewage it was nauseating
I felt like we were gaslit by the website. Think twice before booking!
