What Guests Are Saying

Oak & Loon is a quiet campground with a beautiful view of Duncan Lake and large wooded sites, ideal for seasonal camping. Although some facilities are lacking, such as bathrooms and picnic tables, the owners are welcoming, and there are positive aspects like easy kayak access to the lake. While navigation can be challenging for larger rigs and some sites appear neglected, many guests still enjoyed their stay and appreciated the natural surroundings.

Quiet campground. Hardly anyone here. Some sites are overgrown, probably not used. Sites are advertised as full hook ups. You have to look for them on each site. They aren't clearly visible and some are on the wrong side of the rig. No picnic tables, hard to find fire pits. Some sites look abused and neglected with construction debris. We got to our site which was advertised as being able to support 32 feet. It was overgrown and small. We asked for a different site and was told we could have our pick. The sites were difficult to navigate with our class c. Once we were able to get set up, it was good. I am very thankful that we travel with lawn chairs and we are able to eat inside our rig. Overgrown foot path leads to Duncan Lake. The lake is refreshing and beautiful. Nice beach. Dead leaves on the bottom. Easy to get kayaks in and out. There are NO BATHROOMS OR SHOWERS on the campground. We do have facilities in our rig. The playground consisted of a few swings in dirt. I'm not sure where previous photos were taken. There wasn't any resemblance here. There isnt an office but we were able to speak with a kind gentleman on the phone regarding our site. We didn't get a campground map or any kind of welcome. If our rig was bigger, we would have had a hard time navigating the road and campground due to tight turns. We had a great time despite these inconveniences but would not reserve again.

Beautiful older seasonal campground nestled in the trees adjacent to Duncan Lake. Nice large wooded sites. Park your camper for the season and enjoy the beautiful spring fedLake, relax at your camp fire or cruise to neighboring Wolfeboro or White Mountains. Doesn’t get much better than this.

One of my favorite places to be, I always wish I was there! Especially now that there are new owners who have made it even better!

Always a good time to be had at Duncan Lake, which you can access from the camp by a brief path through the woods, no need to deal with traffic or driving to swim or fish. Late at night, you can hear the loons too, which is one of my favorite sounds.

I almost hesitated updating my review, wanting to be selfish and not divulge the secret of this magical place 😂🤷‍♀️ but it definitely deserves all the praise, especially with all the recent improvements!
