The rangers were all extremely helpful and nice! The campground is very well run and cared for. They even provide outside raccoon-proof lockers to store your food in. This is an amazingly good service that the Park Service provides!

Rangers were helpful, site was laid out sensibly, and parking lot on our stay was accessible.
Only complaint is with reservation system: reservations showed as nearly full/very very booked, with only a few sites available and handicap accessible site not available. On night of our stay there were maybe 6 sites in use, if that, and no one in the entire section of the campground with the accessible site. This is probably a recreation.gov site issue, not a SH specific one.

The raccoons kept us up all night and were way too close for comfort. The food box was filled with ant mounds so we opted to store our food in the car and even with that the raccoons kept coming close to us and the family at the reserved campsite next to us. The Park ranger at check in Megan, was very sweet and the person who answered the phone to answer our questions about purchasing firewood were very professional and friendly!
