Loved the atmosphere of the old military base and being able to wake up and kayak was great. I did not like that you have to park quite a bit away from the camp sites and use a wheel barrow to cart your camping supplies back and forth.

The rangers were all extremely helpful and nice! The campground is very well run and cared for. They even provide outside raccoon-proof lockers to store your food in. This is an amazingly good service that the Park Service provides!
