Beautiful site for camping, boating, fishing or sightseeing. The restrooms need a little work and the the dump station in my loop (Juniper) was locked.

Buffalo Grove 58 was a very nice spot with good views. In the morning we saw great stars and beautiful temperatures. This was August of 2022. The covered picnic table was nice. We spent only one evening as a rest stop on our way to Taos. We were in a 28’ travel trailer with a 3/4 ton pickup. The curved driveway made it difficult to center the trailer on the site. The site is also fairly level left to right, but has a large slope, make sure you are double chocked on each side. Site is better for a Class C or van type camper. Also the edge of the driveway is uneven and has a tremendous drop from paved to gravel. Our exit stairs from the trailer was not great and the wife did roll her ankle on the uneven pavement. Not serious but something to watch for.

This is opposite of how Cochiti was in 2019, it is very sad to see it going downhill.

We shopped and dined in Santa Fe which is 35 minute drive. After reading reviews we were afraid of using the Juniper loop but if you have water on board and a bathroom, the views were amazing. Site 7, 10 and 15. Those were large enough for our 35’ class A and tow with room to spare. 50 amp. Bathroom is closed but they say plans to tear down and rebuild are in the works. Temperatures were perfect for sitting out in the morning and in the evening. Very nice.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
