Toni and myself book a camp site at Cool-Lea Campground in Odessa, New York from May 30th, 2025 to June 7th 2025. We booked this a few months in advance. Everything went as planned until our arrival day. A three-hour trip turned into 10 hours due to GPS black outs, heavy rains and High Way construction delays, The Manager Bob Grover went above and beyond to help us. As we became lost and way over arrival time Bob came out to meet and guide us in to the campground. It was late close to midnight when we finally reached the campground, bob put us in a pull through site for the night so not to disturb the other campers. The next morning, Bob escorted us to our site and then assisted us in backing up into the site. We couldn’t ask for a better experience!!! The campground was our home base as we explored the area attractions. The weather improved and we had a great time. The rest rooms were clean and stocked, the campground, well maintained and very welcoming. the food truck and live band on the weekend made for good entertainment and was truly an asset we did not use. Thanks to the manager, (Bob Grover and his German Shepherd, Elvis for making everything so inviting and one of the best vacations Tonni and myself have ever experienced. The unswimable lake was the only downfall but we still highly recommend this place.

Cool-Lea Campground is truly a hidden gem! The campground is always clean, neat, and well-maintained, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. Everyone we have met has been incredibly kind, friendly, and respectful, making every visit enjoyable.
One of the highlights is Stella's Barn Food Truck. Their Friday night fish fries are absolutely amazing and have become something we look forward to each week. And if you are there on Sunday morning, don't miss breakfast. It is phenomenal, with delicious food and great service.
Whether you're staying for the weekend or just stopping by for the food and fellowship, Cool-Lea Campground offers a wonderful experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great people, outstanding food, and a peaceful, well-kept campground!

We just stayed here. The sites are really big and level. They are making a lot of improvements and the staff are really helpful. The views of the lake are great and it's close to all of the attractions in the area, but away from the crowds.

We recently stayed for a week at their RV lakefront site #28 (only water and electric-there is also a dump station located near the entrance to camp)
It was an absolutely beautiful site right on the water with easy access to swimming/fishing/kayaking, the playground, the pavilion (with games like cornhole, table tennis, and lots of seating) and their restrooms. The laundry facilities were a bit of a hike from our particular site but also available. The restrooms were well maintained, clean and well stocked. The shower is a pay per use system so be prepared and bring quarters, but it is reasonably priced. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay amazing! Even bringing homemade slushies to the kids more than once during our stay.
The lakefront site itself fit our 32ft travel trailer comfortably and was a pull thru site with room for our truck to park beside it. The only downfall to it is that the road within the campground leading in/out to the site can be a bit of a tight squeeze around the turns and other camp sites so make sure you’re comfortable maneuvering your rig, but once you’re in there it’s a pull through easy set up site.
We found the campground to be very relaxing and friendly. No loud music late at night, not overly crowded, and no crazy shenanigans happening. Very family oriented and centrally located to allow for exploring Watkins Glen and other nearby towns.
The food truck on Friday and Saturday nights is also worth mentioning as the fish fry they serve was delicious and saves you a night of cooking!
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would absolutely return again!
