Deer Run Campground

Deer Run Campground is so much more than just a campground—it truly feels like family. We stayed for two months, and I never imagined how hard it would be to leave! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed and treated like we belonged.

The campground is in a beautiful, peaceful country setting, and the people are absolutely amazing. We made some wonderful friends and memories that we will always cherish. The kindness and hospitality shown to our family went above and beyond.

If you’re looking for a campground where you aren’t just another site number and where people genuinely care, Deer Run is the place. This little piece of New York will always hold a very special place in my heart.

Stayed 6/28-7/3. Site 67. Sites in this area are tight and no shade. We need electric so couldn’t stay in the more shady area for tents. Weed whacking started at 7am on Tuesday. Mowing started 9am on Wednesday so not thrilled with that. But otherwise very quiet during the week. If you have kids, nice pool and play area. Showers by pool are not private but ones in bath house are. Sink in laundry room to do dishes. Bathrooms were pretty clean but we were there during the week. Don’t know what it’s like on a weekend. Bath house was below a residence which I never experienced before. A lot of seasonal sites. Some pretty run down. Store wasn’t always open but you could still purchase ice and firewood and leave $ in drop box. Overall it was ok. Would have preferred Glimmerglass State Park campground but it was booked. Their bathrooms and showers are much nicer. And shade sites with electric.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. We stayed in site #75, under trees in the back. We stayed in an RV, did not use bathrooms or laundry. Miranda could not be more helpful and pleasant during our stay. We visited Cooperstown and local places, very easy to drive around. All of the water, sewer and electric worked great, no issues. The area is very beautiful to drive around.

We had an amazing stay at this campground — it truly exceeded all expectations! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and so well cared for. Whether you're looking to relax under the stars, enjoy a quiet morning coffee with nature, or make lasting memories around the campfire, this place has it all.

The campsites were spacious and clean, and the amenities were thoughtfully designed. You can tell a lot of heart has gone into making this place special. The Stocking family has created a beautiful campground. It felt like staying with family — warm, welcoming, and just the right mix of rustic and comfortable.

Highly recommend to anyone looking to unwind and connect with the outdoors. We will definitely be back! 🌲🖤🍻

This campground is by far the best around! The staff is incredible. They are so friendly, helpful and a joy to interact with! The campground is beautiful and also has a great pool and play area for the kids! Also the store has some of the coolest items! They offer your essentials you may need because you forgot something at home or maybe if you ran out. They have freeze dried candy (super fun for the kiddos) and a great beverage selection (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). There’s a nice arcade to occupy the kids when you want to take a break from the outdoor fun. I highly recommend Cooperstown Deer Run Campground! Such an amazing family environment with a beautiful property!
