Schroon River Lodging and Campground

Schroon River Escape was the perfect location for my friends on our Fourth of July camping trip. Harry was very accommodating for my large group and provided the best possible experience we could have asked for. Thank you for making this a memorable trip for us!

This will be our 3rd year camping at Schroon River Escape and we have nothing but great things to say! Everything from the cleanliness to the site layouts is amazing. The river is very accessible for everyone and the public spaces are beautiful, not to mention the riverside sites — waking up on that river is magic. The water is crisp and clear, an absolute dream to float or kayak in; being able to launch or swim directly from your campsite is a phenomenal experience. Don’t walk, run to book a site.

We loved this camp so much that we ended up getting a seasonal site. Harry is great, the grounds are beautiful, everything from the bathrooms to the club house are emaculate. So many dog stations for those who have pups. So quiet and peaceful. Harry you went above and beyond, also your ground keepers are super friendly. See ya soon. You guys are great. We will spread the news to our friends that have seasonal sites at other camp grounds to come to schroon escape.

We are very grateful about the person that runs the place! His name is Harry! He was exceptionally nice, and very helpful for everything that we needed. He went above and beyond to make our stay the best. He is an amazing caretaker of a beautiful camp ground. It’s well maintained and very quiet and peaceful. If you want a place to camp this is the best. An amazing place and the neighbors next to you were respectful and quiet and very friendly. We will so be coming back here! We loved it! It’s family friendly and they have play grounds a fun room for the kiddos, and a very clean pool. Thank you harry! You gave us a very peaceful camp spot! Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely amazing campground. Will definitely be back! Beautiful bathrooms, pool and scenery. We stayed for 5 nights, bugs were bad but that's normal for camping.
Campground is very close to Great Escape so it made it perfect for our trip.
The employees are always nice, they have laundry area which we used and our last day it was raining pretty hard so we went to the fun zone and really enjoyed having a dry spot for the kids to come watch movies, play games out of the rain!
They also have a crystal clear pool and amazing playground for the kids.
