Adventure Bound Cooperstown

We stayed in a two-room efficiency cabin for a week, and while we enjoyed some aspects, several issues held it back.
The bathroom was a big disappointment: the shower leaked because of poor sealing, and both the newly installed sink and toilet had ongoing leaks. Hot water was inconsistent—following the instructions (turning on both sinks to activate the water heater) only worked about half the time, so we ended up using the bathhouse later in the week.
Cooking was a challenge as well—there were no instructions on lighting the stove’s pilot, which made meal prep difficult. The washer and dryer were also problematic—our clothes came out smelling off, and even after two dryer cycles, they remained damp.
For RV and mobile home guests, be warned—the road leading in and through the park is extremely bumpy.
On the bright side, they have family-friendly events on weekends, which is a nice touch. Just keep in mind that quiet hours weren’t always enforced—some guests near us were up late. Cell service is nearly nonexistent, though Wi-Fi was decent until the weekend crowd arrived and it became spotty.
Overall, a decent stay with potential, but a few key maintenance and logistical improvements could make a big difference.

Stayed here for father's day weekend to get away with my daughter. Here's my experience.

Kids.. kids everywhere.. which in itself is harmless however none are supervised and they are cursing and throwing things and are just not nice.
Adults. Saturday night a bunch of adults got together to fight. Mind you it's 10:50pm and my daughter is terrified the fight will come towards our sight.

You have people blasting music till 2am
Golf karts all hours of the night disturbing your sleep
Constant yelling .. all the time.

Staff does not enforce anything.

It's total and utter chaos here.
Hands down the worst camping experience I've ever had.

Never will I ever go to this camp ground and will I ever recommend this place period.

If you're reading this.. just don't. Trust me.. pay more money for somewhere else.

This was my first and last time visiting this location. The place looks nothing like the photos on the website. It is very run down. Looks like a trailer park as you pull into it. Sites are very small. If you open your awning it is just about touching the neighboring camper. The fire pit to the site next to us was a few feet from our camper. Constant smoke coming in. The power and water connections are shared with the site next to it. This makes connections on the wrong side of the camper. Make sure you bring extra hoses and an extension cord. The golf carts are ridiculous. None of them abide by the speed limit in the park and they are running back and forth all hours of the night. This is definitely the worst campground I have been to.

Cute, beautiful, lil campground. A lot of quieter “long-term” RV peeps on the side we stayed on. It was nice. Our youngest son caught his first fish! Dad also caught a fish 😊. Quiet hours 11 PM/weekends, 10 PM/weekdays.

Each site had its own fire pit with optional-use grate on hinges - this is how we cooked all of our food for the week we stayed. It was awesome and peaceful.

Activities for kids & families every weekend, every weekend has a special “theme”. Check out their website! Activities during the week too, ask office folk (they leave around 4/5 PM, so don’t keep missing them like us!) what activities are when. 4/5 of our little ones went to the pavilion with one of the park workers & made sand art!

Nice Playground, blow-up waterslides, pavilion, pool, Adventure Bound is on Garretsville’s (close to Cooperstown) Crystal Lake, & MORE!

And for you Baseball folk - Would be a great place to stay if you wanted to camp AND go to the Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame!

Disappointing experience with poor customer service.

I don’t normally leave bad reviews, but this experience needs to be shared. We drove an hour to visit Adventure Bound campground, excited to camp and have a good time. When we arrived, we looked around the property and really liked it.

When we returned to the office to book our stay, a staff member named Rachel was helping us. We told her we wanted to stay for two nights, and she told us the total was $750 — which seemed way too high. For that price, we could have stayed at a nice hotel. We decided not to book, and her response was dismissive, with an attitude: “OK.”

On the drive home, the price still didn’t sit right with us, so we called back. Rachel answered again, and we asked her about the cost. She said she thought we were booking four nights, not two — again, with a rude tone. We explained we had clearly said two nights from the start. She didn’t apologize or take any responsibility for the misunderstanding.

Because of her mistake and attitude, they lost us as potential customers. We camp often and have never had this kind of issue elsewhere. The way we were spoken to made us feel unwelcome, and we’ve decided we won’t be booking here in the future.
