It was clean and quiet, just as I had hoped. The bathroom was the cleanest among all the places I’ve stayed, and the bedding was soft and fluffy like in a hotel.

Laura was especially kind and explained everything in detail, so I felt completely comfortable during my stay.

The location was great, and the glamping site wasn’t crowded, making it peaceful and relaxing.

The only downside was that I went in early September, and the temperature dropped sharply at night — I really struggled with the cold. Thankfully, I brought several hot packs, but if they could upgrade the facilities with a heater or some way to stay warmer, I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Other than that, it was perfect!

Stayed here on the first leg of an Albany to NYC bike trip along the Empire State Trail. We arrived in the late afternoon and left relatively early the next morning so we didn’t have the chance to explore the entire property but found our accommodations (“guest house” aka rustic shed) clean and comfortable. We used the outdoor kitchen- well equipped! Bathroom / shower house was clean as well. Staff was welcoming.

A great historic and folkloric place to stay. Would stay here again if I am in the area. Perfectly met our needs!

This is our favorite weekend getaway, in fact our stay is never quite long enough. We’ve been back two years in a row (August and September) and we’ve stayed in both the Firefly tent and A-frame. Firefly is a little more secluded, good for privacy, but further from the kitchen/bathroom. A-frame was great when the weather was started to get a little colder at night.
A great place for families with kids, groups of friends, and couples who want to get back in touch with nature.
The overall property is so peaceful, and the chickens, goats and vegetable garden are a highlight.
Having fresh eggs provided in the morning and s’mores at night is just the cherry on top of the perfect hospitality. Thank you Laura!

My husband and I had to most amazing stay last week. We stayed in the A-frame which was just large enough to be comfortable, but still quaint enough to keep its adorable charm. Laura greeted us upon arrival and showed us around before we got settled. We were pleasantly surprised with the fire starter and matches in our room to assist in starting a fire. We did bring our own wood, but there was also wood available for purchase which was a lovely touch!

I know some people could be intimidated by the bathhouse because it’s shared, but honestly that ended up being one of my favorite parts of the stay! The architectural design is beautiful and the shower makes you feel like you are on a lavish European vacation! The communal kitchen was also such a great feature to cook breakfasts, prepare snack and refill out water bottles.

We really enjoyed our time here and hope we can return sometime!

We had a wonderful stay at Gatherwild Ranch. The Stargazer tent was both comfortable and thoughtfully designed, making it such a unique experience to fall asleep and wake up surrounded by nature. What truly set our visit apart was the Laura’s hospitality — warm, attentive, and genuine. We left feeling relaxed, recharged, and already looking forward to returning. Highly recommend to anyone seeking a beautiful escape in the Hudson valley.
