About Chautauqua Gorge Campground
Thank you for choosing to stay at Chautauqua Gorge Campground!
We are located at 8054 Hannum Road, Mayville, New York.
Chautauqua Creek, also known as “the Gorge”, is located between Lake Erie and Chautauqua Lake. Our campground is 45-acres of private land with forests, creeks, waterfalls, hiking trails, and more! We have over 20 campsites including RV sites, cabins, and tent camping sites. There’s over 1,000-acres of public land and miles of trail networks surrounding our campground. You will have easy access to Chautauqua Creek, Westside Overland Trail, Snowmobile Trail, Rails-to-Trails, and nature preserves to be explored! In addition, we are only a short drive (5-15 mins) from grocery stores, Chautauqua Institution, lakeside shops, bars, restaurants and attractions along Chautauqua Lake and Lake Erie. Best campground we’ve ever been to. Quiet, dog friendly, clean, full hookups. This place is amazing. Beautiful well marked hiking trails. I can’t wait to come back.

First time at this campground. Husband and I have stayed in a lot of cabins over the years but the deluxe cabin was one of the best. Grounds are clean and well maintained and if you like to hike, this place is for you!

Absolutely one of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed at. Very quiet and clean. Very secluded with beautiful scenery and trails along with the gorge you can go down to relax at. Very close to activities including a must see Panama Rocks. They also supply free wood, that's a first.

One of the best campgrounds I have ever been too. My wife and I stayed at the deluxe cabin and it was such a great experience. There are trails around for activities and Mayville is only 5 minutes away. It was in a great location. Everything was extremely clean and well kept. The only issue we had was with the futon, it was very uncomfortable. We ended up using the twin mattresses instead. Loved how there was a shower and toilet right inside, it made life so much easier. Would definitely stay here again.
