The park is beautiful. Good trails. although maps could be better. Most sites were spacious, with some privacy. Many of the RV sites were very sloping, so hard to get level. Bathrooms were pretty smelly and could have been cleaner. Camp host was extremely helpful and friendly.

We loved the quiet and being on nature. The fill and dump station was a nice added bonus. However, our site was on quite a steep grade and not really suitable for a travel trailer. The host was very helpful.

Great campground. Description on recreation.gov was difficult to know size of site due to not having lengths listed or pictures for all sites, but once we arrived the campground host met up with us and offered us a larger site. We booked site 17 and our 35 foot RV just barely fit in it. There were plenty of first come first served sites available we could have moved to.

When making reservations this campsite fit what we needed at the time but we were pleasently surprised when we got there. We actually arrived a day before our reservsations due to some change in plans and were able to get a First Come First Serve site, double wide to easily fit our 38ft 5th wheel and truck. They have Showers, toilets, potable water and a dump station. What more could you ask for when paying $20 a night. And it was close to Mederia, ND and the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library - so educational and fun - highly recommend the library and campground.

The campground is actually very nice. My site was in good shape. However it is clear that there is no money for maintenance. The restrooms were both broken with no apparent urgency for repair. Seriously? Also, the trash was overflowing.

Very accessible and attentive camp host. Greeted us upon arrival and was constantly seen around the campground. Very clean campsites and bathrooms. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Close to Medora. Sites are large. Facilities were very clean. Only downfall was hearing the highway at night but there wasn't heavy traffic and it didn't disturb our sleep.

Buffalo Gap worked out great for me. I was able to go to the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library dearly in the morning and get back to camp in time to shower before checkout. I feel that Buffalo Gap is a great staging campground for the many opportunities in Medora and the larger Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The camp host was also very friendly and helpful.
