Hazelton Recreation Area is a quiet and beautiful small campground, well-maintained and clean, making it a great spot for a peaceful stay. Visitors appreciated the spacious and mowed lots, enhancing their experience. Some noted a need for more gravel in the spots to prevent sinking in muddy areas.

Excellent location on the Missouri River. Very piece full with a great view. I wish it had a dump station. Plenty of sites for boondocking. Nice playground for the kids. Will stay again when in the area. Hazelton is 14 mi to the East. Very nice place and all the people I met were very friendly and helpful.

Campsite was great and had beautiful views at the water’s edge. Campground is along the water and nearby boat ramp. I enjoyed walking around the frisbee golf course. Bathroom was atrocious and needed a clean.

Found out the hard way you have to book 2 nights minimum. Definitely more of an RV/camper place than a tent/hammock campground, but it's kept looking very nice and pretty clean. Campground employee/ranger was really great to talk with, helped clear some confusion I had with booking online, which must be done, as there is no cash/check drop box.

No dump station available. Too loud after 10 pm. Should be monitored ~ the loud folks were across the loop, very disrespectful. Very loud music. Not right.
