Cottonwood Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful experience with spacious, well-maintained sites and clean facilities. Many visitors enjoyed the close encounters with bison and the serene natural surroundings, making it a great spot for wildlife enthusiasts. Nice campground! Away from highway. Get your own firewood prior to enter the park, there’s one place that sells it in town so plan ahead.

Cottonwood Campground is very nice, but is not only without showers, it does not have a sink for washing dishes. This makes it much for difficult for tent camping.

We had a beautiful site facing the river. The neighbors were friendly and quiet and the host was very helpful with information and assistance when we had a minor issue.

Incredible campsite with delightful staff. I went during the summer and it filled up right quick but it was worth it. It's a clean and well kept campsite with decent lots. I solo tent camped and the lot I had was absolutely perfect and felt fairly private.

We really enjoyed Cottonwood campground. We got VERY lucky and got to experience the buffalo herd coming THROUGH the campground and into our sites. It was amazing to see them up close and personal while safely observing from our camper. The campsites seem to vary in size, but we were happy with ours. The camp host was very kind and welcoming. The bathrooms were clean and had running water. No pit toilets ;)
