Cottonwood Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful experience with spacious, well-maintained sites and clean facilities. Many visitors enjoyed the close encounters with bison and the serene natural surroundings, making it a great spot for wildlife enthusiasts. While some noted issues with insects and site leveling, the overall atmosphere and friendly camp hosts contributed to a memorable stay.

Good place to set down….didn’t build a fire in the grill. Tucson there was a large buffalo dung in it. Could have been better.

I spent 10 nights at Cottonwood and had an excellent stay. Camp host Steve, Julie and Rory were helpful, knowledgeable and it was pleasure to get acquainted with them. The bison graced me with their presence daily, just outside my trailor one morning, i stopped counting at 40 to soak in the experience. Thanks Steve ,Julie and Rory, Your awesome

We camped at the end of Sept and had an amazing experience, the grounds were clean and quiet, wildlife was abundant and the Theodore Roosevelt library/museum was truly astounding. The wildlife loop at the park and painted canyon are also a must when in this area. We did miss the Medora Musical which would have been nice to see, but I guess the tradeoff was fewer crowds.

Beautiful campground. Well maintained, clean and you can't beat the Bison and wild turkeys grazing in the meadow adjacent to our site.
