The campground was fantastic in several ways; quiet, each site was secluded by landscaping, incredibly clean and modern bathrooms and plenty of water spigots.

Cottonwood Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful experience with spacious, well-maintained sites and clean facilities. Many visitors enjoyed the close encounters with bison and the serene natural surroundings, making it a great spot for wildlife enthusiasts. While some noted issues with insects and site leveling, the overall atmosphere and friendly camp hosts contributed to a memorable stay.

Great campground. Many are pull-throughs off of the loop, and some of them are too close to the road. Be careful to check the length you need. Flush toilet building seem's quite new. It was very clean. Evidence of bison in the campground, one seemed somewhat recent.
You absolutely must check out the TR Presidential Library. It was a fantastic interactive experience. Buy your tickets on-line ahead of time.

Solid campground but allowing rvs and pull behinds in the section labeled no RVs was quite disappointing. No fire rings, camp grill only.

Nice site, short distance to bathroom and spigot. No campfires anywhere in the campground.

A most scenic spot with special peaks of the river. Surprised to find two bathroom buildings with toilets and sinks in the park, though the sites are non-electric. Enjoyed our stay very much. Just the right distance from Medora to feel separated from busyness.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cottonwood. The campground was peaceful, well maintained, and our site was very nice, with our RV on one level and the picnic table a couple steps down, in the trees. Some sites had an awesome view of a headwall. Although we didn’t have any bison visits during our stay, there were clear signs (hoofprints and dung) of a recent walk through, so be aware.
We did not use the bathrooms, so I can’t comment on them. The campground host was friendly and helpful.

I only stayed one night, but I enjoyed my pull thru site. I had an amazing view from my site. The restroom was nice and clean. I would stay again.
