Stayed here while visiting Eldora Speedway was super convenient
Staff were all very nice and the camp site was clean. The downfall is the water.
Even using a filter the water came out dirty. Showering left you feeling not clean and itchy. We tried filling a small little floaty with the filtered water and it came out with an insane amount of floaties and turned green in minutes. There is no lake access excluding boat access points but the lake is literally green and you wouldn't want to go in it anyway.
I am only leaving this review so people with sensitive skin/allergies are aware it is not the spot for you. It's unfortunate because again all the staff were great.

My husband and I are Insurance Adjusters and got into town in March, even though they weren't open for season, John got us a spot ready and was so helpful! We ended up staying for 3 months working and ended up moving spaces a couple times, but all the spots were nice, everyone we met were so friendly and always had time to make us feel welcome. The lake is amazing! If you are in the area over the 4th of July, it is a great place to watch a great fireworks display across the lake.

Overall we had a good stay. Our original spot was taken by some other campers when we arrived at the park even though we got there 10 minutes after check-in. So they found us a different spot that was only 30amp but it did have some shade so that was nice. There was not a picnic table at our spot but they did bring us one quickly after we requested. Noticed several picnic tables that need to be burned at other spots. We needed a longer hose for our site and they brought us that as well. The park did lose power for about 45 min after a little storm but it came back on. The staff was extremely nice and so were other campers. There was no line when we got to the dump station which was nice. TONS of golf carts at this park. They could probably trim some trees and get new picnic tables.

Every thing was fine but as long as I have been going there ( for years ) I have to stop and pay $5 to dump at the fairgrounds THERE IS NO DECENT PLACE TO DUMP unless you go to the north east corner, I feel bad for the people camping over there. I am surprised this situation has not been resolved over the years.
There is a station on the south end by by the restrooms but it is very tight not good for any camper of length.

I know it was memorial day weekend and alot of permanent sites had family and friends over but it was overly crowded with parked cars. We came back in Saturday night and had to take many detours to our site because my truck would not fit between cars by the road. We had to check out Sunday morning and i could not even get out of my site and had to skip dumping due to cars. Had to pay extra and go out of my way to dump station in lebanon. I usually stay in state parks, maybe were just not use to this much of crowds. Otherwise, everything else was fine.
