I drove up here in winter and didn't realize they were closed, but the few people that were there and leaving came out and were so nice. They sparked a conversation, didn't push me, and let me figure out my directions.
Wonderful interaction!

Overall, we have a great experience every time we come to this KOA. The staff is very friendly and we like being so close to the state park. Unfortunately this time around we had a major issue with brown/rusty water. Right from the beginning when filling a bath water was very brown. Then I went out and bought a new filter to rule that out. Didn’t help much (pictured). Long story short, had to spend an additional $50 or so on a new filter and cleaning supplies to get the camper clean. It took several hours to get the rust stains out of the tub, sink, shower, and water hose. I had to flush the whole system several times. I know it was the water in the campground because it ran down my filter at the spigot and left brown streaks.

This is a great campground! Tent sites have a mulched tent pad, and are spacious although sorta close to other sites. The camp store has a lot of cool things and they will physically bring you ice and firewood right to your site when you call it’s like room service💕 they are super friendly. The showers were clean and the property is well maintained. There is a dog park, a rc car track, and gem mining.

Check in was quick and easy. The bathrooms were super clean. We stayed on site #1 which was back-in water and electric only but we really loved the privacy. We had woods behind us instead of other RVs. For us, that was better than having full hook up. Sometimes an RV park is just a big parking lot with trailers on top of each other and no trees. This KOA did not feel that way. They also provided a complementary bundle of firewood which was very nice.

I Had a great experience, would come back again! Friendly staff, the bathrooms and Showers are clean, liked that my cabin had AC for the season. I love the location you are really connected to nature, just don't like the bumpy road in and out, but all the good out weights that!
