we knew coming in there was no water in the lake, so that was not a problem for us. Our site was shaded and was easy to level.
Showers are available at the other loop and were clean.

Very nice vacation. Peaceful and quiet. Spacious camp sites. Clean and private bath house rooms. Very dark at night as there are no outdoor lighting. The only drawback to this vacation, the lake was drained for repairs without advance notice. No fishing.

We really enjoy camping here. I only hope that Vesuvius Lake will be a lake again. It would be terrible if it is not.

This campground is quiet, and so relaxing. It’s fun to walk the entire campground. You meet so many nice people and their dogs! This campground is our little haven and we love camping here.

We loved the location. Close enough to stores it we needed to run out, but still secluded. Each campsite was spaced a good amount apart that it doesn’t feel too close. We loved it.
