We love that shelter for the scenery and serenity. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we will probably use it again as we have in past.

Absolutely beautiful area for a shelter! We had access to electricity, restrooms, fishing, and plenty of grass for yard games. What an excellent location!

The prairie view shelter was relatively clean when we arrived at approximately 9 a.m. I was surprised, however, that the "reserved today" sign and the paper notice concerning reservation party were not posted until later in the morning. I personally did not visit the restroom but since no one from our party commented on their conditions, I assume that they were acceptable. In previous years we have been visited by park employees to see if we needed anything, to be sure that the trash bins were not overflowing, to deliver activities for the children, etc. That did not happen this year. That would have been a nice service but we did not require help in any way.
All in all, a pleasant day.

For a celebratory afternoon, the shelter house and surrounding area was perfect. Close to restrooms, parking and the beautiful water. My only concern was the terrible rain storm that hit us at 4pm. Just kidding. I know that storm wasn't your fault!!
