Belle Starr

Belle Star is a beautiful campground basically right on Lake Eufala. Our campsite was perfect. But, there always is one or two in this case. The water in the west campground where we were is shared with the next campsite. Fortunately we didn't have a neighbor cause we didn't have a splitter. Secondly, the women's bathhouse. OMG! Now I understand old. I get a few bugs or spiders, but what I don't get is the walls, toilets, showers teeming with some sort of flying greenish gnat/fly something. You couldn't sit on the toilet and no way was I going to use that shower. Come on. Really. My husband said the men's side was fine. Imagine that. Plus if there was a host, we never ever saw them.

Loved everything about our stay! Great view, quiet area. Friendly environment. The only complaint would be the sand burrs! These little suckers was everywhere at our site! Other than that perfect.

The campground had some erosion prevention work done and even though there was a lot of sand present, our experience was wonderful. The lake views are incredible and the campground is clean and well maintained. We will be back soon.

We were only in the Belle Star campground for one night. Beautiful waterfront setting and nice clean facility.

Had a very good time. Just wish the boat ramp was filled in, in center, very big hole. Also, water connection was replaced at main dump station, this is a minor fix but is used by many. Please make repairs.

Great camp ground

This campground is a bit off the beaten path, but adequate for our rather brief stay in the area. The views are beautiful with gorgeous sunsets. The trip to Checotah took at least 20 minutes from the camp, but there isn't much to do there. We did spend most of a day at the nearby Honey Springs Battlefield. It was much too hot (9/6/22) to walk the grounds, but the new visitor center is quite informative and very nice.

We were in site C38, and I do not recommend this site. It has a definite "C" curve, and is very difficult to feel like you are parked correctly. The electrical hookup is at the front of the site, and the water is shared with the neighbor beside you at the back of the site. It was very aggravating trying to park our class B RV (26') in a way we could access both hook-ups. Site C38 is just steps from one of the older restrooms/shower houses. The newer facilities are a pretty good hike away from this site.

Overall, I can say I would not stay here again.

Great site in the woods

It is very clean with plenty of shade.

All the grills there were burned out...they could not be used. Tree limbs out of control...could not pull my camper in due to VERY low tree limbs. We, our group, had 4 spots reserved. All had the same problems.
