What Guests Are Saying
Belle Starr is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with spacious, clean sites and stunning lake views. Many guests appreciated the friendly camp hosts and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for relaxation. However, some areas need improvement, particularly regarding restroom cleanliness, grassy site maintenance, and certain site accessibility issues.

This lake has very little water, our campsite used to have water around it but after draining it to Hefner and the broken damn the trees have grown up all around where the water was
If you like no phone signal which is perfect for some
Area was really cool but with lack of lake we couldn’t fish nearby our site
Pool looked awesome and trails are awesome
Going to have to go back to golf in the fall

Unexpected circumstances delayed our arrival, despite my calling, leaving a message and also calling Corp of Engineers customer service, when we arrived the gate was locked!!! Number flashing on signage that read to call if gate was locked, (was the same number where I had left a message), was not answered!!!
Extremely frustrating, had no other place to stay, no one to speak with and no returned call, no refund!!!
Delay in arrival was beyond our control, this camp ground appeared to not care. If you get there late, to bad! You are locked out!!!!!

When asked about a discount at the online reservation, my America the Beautiful Senior Lifetime Pass was not listed even though C.O.E. locations are listed on the back of my card. I would like an explanation or a refund of the difference between full price and discounted price.

We’ve been camping here over 25 years and we love it! However, there’s always room for improvement. The big bath house needs some cleaning and more grass would be nice in the campsites along with trimming lower branches on the roads and in campsites. It was Memorial Day weekend and it’s a busy time for the campground, which may have led to the lack of cleanliness in the bath house. Everything said, we will be back and I do recommend Belle Starr! The staff/volunteers/attendants were very personable and pleasant to talk with.

The bathroom across from where we stayed was nasty. The water ran constantly in the shower. We were unable to turn it off. We reported it and nothing was done.

Nice quiet clean campground with great views of the lake and plenty of shade. I only give it a 4 because of how unlevel the site was. Bathrooms are good with plenty of showers and hot water. When it rains everything washes up om the rv mat because we were going down hill. Loved how quiet it was and the water was right at the site. Camp host were very nice. Would definitely stay here again.
