What Guests Are Saying
Belle Starr is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with spacious, clean sites and stunning lake views. Many guests appreciated the friendly camp hosts and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for relaxation. However, some areas need improvement, particularly regarding restroom cleanliness, grassy site maintenance, and certain site accessibility issues.

Park is awesome. Open sites with no privacy but not close together. Was disappointed that the bath and showers were closed. Wished that was indicated on the web site. Also web site wouldn't allow any of the lake view sites to be reserved even though no one were using them. I came in late during the night and picked a vacant lake view site. It's a good thing I did as the site I had reserved would have been difficult to do at night as the driveway was long, narrow and curved. I picked that site cause it was next to the showers but they were closed. This park is set up for cold weather as it has freeze proof water hydrants.

If the restroom and showers are going to be closed, they should leave a notice on the reservation page. The campground seems nice, but judging by the condition of things, it looks to like it is managed pooly. I will not stay here again.

We I visited, during the winter, most of the campsites were closed with a few open. When i arrived I found that all the restrooms and showers were locked. Upon set up I was approached by who I assume was the camp host telling me the spot I was in was not reserveable and would not let me continue with set up. She backed off when I produced my reservation confirmation. I would have camped elsewhere if they would have said they were closing all the amenities, but this was not disclosed during the reservation process. Nice park but needs to be managed better.

Peaceful, would have been a lot better if there was an unlocked restroom for our use. All were locked.

Very quiet and peaceful. Only wish more waterfront spaces were available.

Always a great place to camp, wish they would bring back the first come- first serve, for all of us that likes to do the last minute weekend camping trips, I notice that there is always a lot of empty spots when I check the online app

Site C58 was perfect. We saw deer every morning and evening. The fishing was good. Great place to get away from the rat race and relax.

Nice Campground, nice people.
Reservation was a debacle.
We reserved the site for the evenings of October 30 and 31. On the 31st at about 8 PM the host came and and said we had to leave because weren't supposed to be there. They were closing the loop at midnight and locking the gate. I told them we had reservations, so we had the site for the night. After showing her my reservation on Recreation.gov. She said she was closing the gate, but she would not lock it.
