What Guests Are Saying
Belle Starr is a beautiful and well-maintained campground with spacious, clean sites and stunning lake views. Many guests appreciated the friendly camp hosts and the peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for relaxation. However, some areas need improvement, particularly regarding restroom cleanliness, grassy site maintenance, and certain site accessibility issues.

Wish we had had more time to spend, but we stayed only one night. Bob was friendly and the park is beautiful.

Great campground, just off HWY 69. The campground volunteer, Theresa, was very helpful and professional. Our site was level and easily accessible. We had water and 30 and 50 amp service. Although most sites are tree covered, Site 66 gave us great Starlink reception.

If you’re only wanting to camp, it’s a good spot. Not much close by so bring it with you. Our site was C30 and boy were there some beautiful sunsets over that water! The bathrooms closest to our site were all but unusable. The men’s bathroom had garbage bags over them so you didn’t use them. Some things need rehabbing.

Nice campground. Many sites will need some sort of leveling. Good place to walk. Shower house could use updating. Main roads are fine for big rigs but interior sections are narrow and maybe hard to get into. Choose site carefully.

There were leaves piled all over the park and the ticks were awful. My husband pulled 3 off of him during our 6 day stay. Also, there are two volunteers there whose campsite are very trashy and detract greatly from the overall appearance of the park. There’s needs to be more attention paid to Belle Starr by the Corps of Engineers.
