Stay was not bad except for the ants climbing all over you all the time

gatekeeper was great, our campsite was too narrow for our camper, she moved us to a different campsite that met our needs!

The park is pretty and in good shape. However, there's not much access to swim or get into the water except on a small beach. We found this inconvenient, at least with our pets.

There are a lot of bugs in the restroom at night. The bugs fly on you. They fly out of the sink when you turn the water on.
The area was scenic and shady. Quite area

Belle Starr was gorgeous and a very popular park. The sites are spacious, most of them have plenty of shade. I was a "drop in" so got assigned what the guy in the office understood as what I was hoping for... waterfront with shade. He initially put me at a site, 61, I think, that was "waterfront" surrounded by woods. One would have to traipse through the woods to actually see the water. I called the office and asked for something where I could actually see the water from my camper. They moved me to site 43 which was perfect!! Very accommodating and gracious about it.
The water, electric and sewer hookups are convenient and easy to use.
While I love staying at national parks, there is huge room for improvement on the photos provided for the campsites.
