While we love to stay at the sites, Love’s RV stops have been a valuable resource for the RV community. We encountered some concerning issues at this particular location. Several RVs had been parked there for an extended period, and the surrounding sites were in a state of disrepair. Notably, one site had a washing machine outside, another had a sofa placed next to it, and the RV itself appeared to be held together with duct tape. If this is the standard for future Love’s RV stops, travelers are unlikely to stay, as the overall appearance of the sites would deteriorate significantly within a year.

Love’s RV Stop #486 in Choctaw, Oklahoma, is a perfect haven for travelers journeying along historic Route 66. Conveniently located just off the highway, it offers easy access for a quick overnight stay while still providing a sense of comfort and quiet. The sites are level, well-lit, and spacious enough for big rigs, making setup simple after a long day on the road. Having the amenities of a Love’s Travel Stop just steps away—fuel, food, and supplies—adds to the convenience without sacrificing peace. As night settles, the hum of the highway fades into the background, replaced by the steady calm that every road traveler seeks before the next sunrise.

We have been to Love's RV Hookup locations in the past and felt they were a good overnight stop. This was our first time at one of their RV Stops and we found it exceptional. No frills, but a very clean place to stop, good hookups, GREAT wi-fi, and not all that noisy despite the traffic in and out of Love's and along I-40 nearby. The weather was pleasant so we slept with the windows open and the noise was not an issue for us. If you are super-sensitive to noise at night, closing your windows and running A/C or heat will likely drown out anything from outside. The wi-fi speeds were between 50-100 Mbps, which is far superior to what we typically find as "free wi-fi" at other campgrounds that barely clocks in at 5 Mbps (or worse). Overall, a great overnight stop and we'll use it again if the situation arises.

So simple and easy to book. Gate code and bath house codes emailed to you with your confirmation. Was surprised by concrete pads, fire pits at each site numerous grills for cooking and covered pavilions with tables. This was our first time using a Loves for an overnight stay and will absolutely do it again!

We have stayed at other Loves RV locations, but this was the best one so far. It had a separate secure gated entry with a private bathhouse and dog park, all within the gated area. We did not feel like we were in a truck stop at all. It truly felt like we were in our own campground. It even had picnic tables and fire rings. There was also a grill if you felt like cooking.
