I cannot begin to express how beautiful this park is, it is a hidden gem that is probably only known to those who live in Oklahoma. While visiting we were able to see wild Bison, Longhorns and Elk...there was even a pack of Turkeys that squabbled by our campsite. The Doris Campground was clean and offered a ton of shade from trees. There were clean bathrooms strategically located and hot showers available to dust off each day. I loved how our campsite was less than a quarter mile from the top of Little Baldy, which made for an amazing sunrise hike. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating, they offer ice and firewood at the entrance to the campsite if needed. However, the nearest town is only 15 minutes away, where you can re-stock any supplies. Overall, this is a great place to camp with exceptional amenities. The trails were fabulous and offered breathtaking views around every corner, I would just make sure to head over to the visitor center to get their preferred hiking list. There were a few trails on AllTrails that were not actual trails.

Great experience! Camp ground host was as nice as could be, the campground was extremely clean and very attractive. The toilets were maintained very well, and our campsite was large and clean with a good size concrete picnic table and a fire ring that was in good shape. A park ranger regularly drive through checking on things which was a good feeling. All our fellow campers were very polite and quiet. It was a great experience from start to finish. Definitely will be returning!!

Awesome place, saw lots of deer, bison, longhorns, elk, and even a few coyotes. No cell signal in the campground though.

From I-44 take Highway 49 (exit 45). Go west 7 miles to the Refuge gate or 14 miles to the Visitor Center. If coming from Highway 62, take Highway 115 (Cache exit) north to the Refuge Gate.
Doris Campground is accessible via I-44 and Highway 49, with Highway 49 leading west for 7 miles to the Refuge gate. Additionally, Highway 62 is nearby, with Highway 115 providing access to the Refuge gate.
