We've been visiting the Wichita Wildlife Refuge for over 25 years and have always loved the Doris Campground, but the new updates are wonderful! We loved being there during a quiet time and enjoyed having the place to ourselves. The new bathrooms and showers are extremely comfortable. We look forward to returning.

Very nice campground (I stayed at campsite 7). Clean, spacious and private enough. It also has access to various hikes directly from the campground which was great. No cellphone service but I didn't care.
The rest of the park is also very cool and unique. I recommend downloading some maps and trails, as some areas are not very well traced (Elk Mountain for example).

Doris Campground is a favorite of ours. Always clean and well kept. They've even updated the bathrooms and pit toilets. In winter it's almost always empty so there is plenty of peace and quiet. Plenty of wildlife wandering through the campground which is always really cool.
