Great campground. Family oriented, very quiet and very clean. Bathrooms and showers were excellent and also very clean. Short walk to the lake and some great hiking trails to the south.

Decent campground with basic vault toilets. Nothing fancy but it's super quiet and the stars are great! Bring flipflops for the showers too.

We loved this campground and look forward to returning!
*paved sites, ours was level side to side but sloped down in front. Long enough for 16’ travel trailer and disconnected short bed Tundra, other sites were longer.
*access to lake trail was across the road
*restroom/shower house nearby in next loop was clean
*no cell signal in campground but able to get one bar of service on small hill a short walk away
*a few over-air TV channels
*amazing visitor center with lots of history and information on plants and animals
*we did a couple of short hikes as well as driving all the paved roads, drive up to Mt. Scott had stunning views
*BEST PART OF THIS PLACE…free-roaming bison and longhorns!!!

What a great place to get back to nature… free roaming bison
Longhorn cattle , sild turkeys and deer!
Campsites nicely spaced.
Only negative is no water at campsites

From I-44 take Highway 49 (exit 45). Go west 7 miles to the Refuge gate or 14 miles to the Visitor Center. If coming from Highway 62, take Highway 115 (Cache exit) north to the Refuge Gate.
Doris Campground is accessible via I-44 and Highway 49, with Highway 49 leading west for 7 miles to the Refuge gate. Additionally, Highway 62 is nearby, with Highway 115 providing access to the Refuge gate.
