The campgrounds were nice. The only issue was the lack of rule enforcement. There was a large group camping next to us that were getting drunk all night. They were obnoxiously loud until early in the morning. Plus, several campers brought their dogs and they barked throughout the night. I sure do miss common courtesy.

The family has been going to Doris Campground for years. We're always pleased. We're more pleased since there's clean water available, now, to fill our RV freshwater tank. Thanks, WMWR, for the many improvement made to the campground, without taking away from the refuge appeal. We'll be back many more times.

It’s a nice campground. The Wichitas are my home away from home and I go there most weekends in the cooler months. This was my first time staying in the campground and I would definitely do it again.

From I-44 take Highway 49 (exit 45). Go west 7 miles to the Refuge gate or 14 miles to the Visitor Center. If coming from Highway 62, take Highway 115 (Cache exit) north to the Refuge Gate.
Doris Campground is accessible via I-44 and Highway 49, with Highway 49 leading west for 7 miles to the Refuge gate. Additionally, Highway 62 is nearby, with Highway 115 providing access to the Refuge gate.
