What Guests Are Saying
Doris Campground offers a serene environment with beautiful views, well-maintained facilities, and abundant wildlife, making it a great choice for nature lovers. Many campers appreciated the clean bathrooms and friendly camp hosts, as well as the opportunity for hiking and exploring the nearby Wichita Mountains. However, some guests noted challenges in finding water access and occasional litter left by previous campers, but overall, the positive experiences and natural beauty outweigh the negatives.

The bathrooms were very clean and the water was warm in the shower the entire time! The campground was clean, though it was a little difficult to find our campsite at first (52). The squirrels were especially entertaining coming close to our site and very chatty, they even “barked” at my dog and the neighbor’s cat! The raccoons are very brave and will absolutely tear into ANYTHING left out (duh, they’re raccoons!) Overall a very lovely stay! Amazing sights and trails!

The campground’s location is centrally situated within the park, providing easy access to all trails and points of interest throughout the refuge. The facilities were clean and accessible. I highly recommend Doris Campground to anyone looking to decompress and unwind while enjoying the natural beauty and wildlife of southwestern Oklahoma.

Family had a blast! We always have an amazing time when we stay at Doris. Hiked to little baldy, enjoyed medicine park and just enjoyed time away from the busy crazy world we live in. Loved the self service ice and firewood. Bathrooms were nice. There was a longhorn chilling in the campground just minding his business so that was exciting!
Would always recommend anyone that loves nature and amazing hiking trails and views to stay here! Thanks again!
