Decent campground with basic vault toilets. Nothing fancy but it's super quiet and the stars are great! Bring flipflops for the showers too.

Great campground. Family oriented, very quiet and very clean. Bathrooms and showers were excellent and also very clean. Short walk to the lake and some great hiking trails to the south.

The site was nice. Concrete picnic table, charcoal pit, and fire rings were in good shape. A nice flat spot without many rocks was perfect for pitching our tent. The vault toilets were close about a 50-75 yard walk. The showers and flushable bathroom stalls were a little further walk but definitely an easy to get to <3-4 minutes away. Zero cell phone coverage so be prepared. I did find a specific spot near the showers that I could get a faint signal enough to send/receive a text message, but your mileage may vary. Nice having the trail to Little Baldy be so close. Our 4 year old loved it!

From I-44 take Highway 49 (exit 45). Go west 7 miles to the Refuge gate or 14 miles to the Visitor Center. If coming from Highway 62, take Highway 115 (Cache exit) north to the Refuge Gate.
