What Guests Are Saying
Buncombe Creek is praised for its clean facilities, easy reservation process, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for family gatherings and relaxation. The location near the water is ideal for fishing and swimming, and the staff is friendly and attentive. However, some sites have issues with uneven terrain, mosquito presence, and maintenance needs, particularly regarding electricity and cleanliness of the grounds.

The campsite we booked had issues with the power, they were quick to respond and we moved to another spot. We had a great time and will be booking here again.

I have a 30 amp motor home fairly new and the breaker in my campsite tripped several times. It was in the 90’s so the air conditioner ran a lot but we couldn’t run the air and the electric hot water at the same time without the breaker tripping.

We stayed on the C side and great places to camp. We were able to park our boat and have a decent place to swim. Definitely will be staying there more.

The road into the campground is in need of repair. Plan an extra 20 minutes to travel the last few miles. Most of the sites are extremely un-level and require some yard work. So bring your weed-eater. After searching all areas we decided to give up, forfeit our $ and return home. This was the first time we’ve had to make this decision. It’s a beautiful location, but just a shame it’s so unkept. We’ll cross it off our list and never return.

We had a great time. Campgrounds could use some upgrades but the staff is keeping them mowed and picked up very well.

Please be advised the hiking trails, are rather challenging, and the wild-life, abundant. And Ms. Reece, and Mr. Jack, maintain quite clean and tidy, the park.

We really enjoyed our stay at Buncombe Creek Campground. We were right on the water and the weather was perfect for the first of April. I would like to go again and stay in a different part of the campground to see what it is like in a different spot. The "A" loop where we stayed is very nice but some sites could use a little maintenance and you have to watch for the ants.
